Rodent Housing Facilities
It is imperative that sound and vibration in rodent facilities do not interfere with the breeding of mice and rats. Since the hearing of rodents extends past the range of human hearing, it is possible to design a facility with unacceptable acoustics for the rodents and for the people not be able to hear it!
CSTI has extensive experience with continuous monitoring of the sound, vibration, and ultrasound levels in rodent facilities. This experience has led to the development of preliminary recommendations for these facilities.
CSTI can analyze existing facilities and assist on the design of new facilities.
